Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 6, Minister of Environment and Tourism B.Bat-Erdene held a virtual meeting with Ambassador of Mongolia to the U.S. U.Batbayar, and Executive Director in charge of International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF)’s Asia Programs Todd Koenings.

The meeting with the Minister was organized as a follow-up to several meetings that the Mongolian Ambassador held with the foundation in aims of introducing a model way of operations at strictly protected areas in the country.

The sides agreed to hold the first in-person meeting in Ulaanbaatar, and discussed introducing Mongolia’s strictly protected areas to ICCF representatives and selecting the area for introducing model protective measures during the visit. The next measures are to be planned in phases following the decision.

The meeting was also attended by corresponding officials of the ministry. ICCF is a foundation specialized in the field of environmental protection, and especially conservation, running operations not only in the U.S. but also internationally.
