Corruption crimes not to be resolved with facilitated conditions

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At its regular meeting on April 27, the Cabinet made a decision to submit a Bill to amend the Criminal Code to the Parliament. In accordance with the amendments, the penal sanctions for corruption crimes such as abuse of office power will be tightened, informed Kh.Nyambaatar, Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs.

For instance, fines will not be imposed on serious crimes, as well as corruption crimes will not be resolved with facilitated procedures. The statute of limitations for corruption crimes will be at least five years, and the criminal will be subject to a 20-year ban on public service.
