Revised bill on National Security submitted to President
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On June 25, Secretary of the National Security
Council J.Enkhbayar presented to the President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh
the revised National Security Concept, revised bill on the National Security,
and related documents.
A working team consisting of the Secretariat of the National
Security Council of Mongolia, the Institute for Strategic Studies, and experts
and researchers specialized in national security conducted analysis on the
implementation of the National Security Concept of Mongolia and issued an
evaluation report. A conclusion of the report states that amendments should be
made to more than 60 percent of the national security concept; therefore, the
Secretary introduced to the President the revised version, which has 5 chapters and 27 articles,
divided into 71 sub-articles.
In regard with the revised National Security Concept
of Mongolia, a revised bill on the National Security has been formulated. After
hearing the presentation of experts, President U.Khurelsukh said that he would
submit the revised National Security Concept, revised bill on the National Security,
and related documents to the Parliament in the near future.
