Discussion held on development of trade, economic and technical cooperation with Vietnam

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry G. Batsuuri received Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Quoc Khanh on August 3.
At the outset of the
meeting, Deputy Minister G. Batsuuri said that the 17th meeting of the
Mongolia-Vietnam intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific,
and technical cooperation took place on December 3-6, 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam. During
the meeting, the sides agreed to take concrete measures to increase the trade
volume between the two countries to USD 100 million. In connection, he
emphasized the great importance of expanding cooperation in the industrial sector
and the trade of finished and unfinished products.
Within the framework of
the measures to be carried out to expand the scope of trade, economic and
technical cooperation between Mongolia and Vietnam, the following works are possible to be implemented:
- To cooperate and make
mutually beneficial investment in the construction of production and
technology parks in Mongolia,
-To support and
cooperate in increasing the capacity of spinning and weaving factories,
- To cooperate in the
construction of a complex of wood processing plant
- To promote the
activities of private sectors and non-governmental organizations that produce eco-cosmetic products, and develop cooperation in supplying products to the
Vietnamese market.
-To involve teacher,
workers, and students in the training of the garment manufacturing business, to exchange experience, and establish a joint venture.
