Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene attends State Funeral for late Shinzo Abe
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene attended
the State Funeral of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe at the Nippon
Budokan, Tokyo, on September 27.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Mongolia, Prime
Minister L.Oyun-Erdene conveyed his heartfelt condolences to late Abe’s family
and Japanese people.
The State Funeral for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was attended by about 4,300 people, including 700 from 218 foreign countries and regions and international organizations.
The former Prime Minister of Japan Sh. Abe was a political
figure who made a valuable contribution to the democratic development of
Mongolia and the strategic partnership between Mongolia and Japan.
During the years he served as Prime Minister, the Strategic Partnership
between Mongolia and Japan was strengthened and elevated to a new level. The
new international airport of Ulaanbaatar city, built with his support, commenced
operating, becoming a strong bridge between the public and private sectors of
Mongolia and Japan.
This year marks 50th anniversary of the
establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan. On the occasion
of the anniversary, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene will hold an official talk
with his Japanese counterpart to discuss a wide range of issues of international and regional cooperation, as
well as major projects and programs to be implemented in the near and medium
term.
In addition, the PM plans to meet with heads of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party of Japan and the friendship group in the Japanese parliament.
