Mongolian delegates attend 66th IAEA General Conference

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The delegation of Mongolia, headed by the Secretary of the Nuclear Energy Commission of Mongolia, attended the 66th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency held on September 26-30 in Vienna, Austria. The General Conference discussed 26 agenda items related to the annual report of the IAEA, nuclear and radiation safety, technical cooperation, peaceful applications of nuclear technologies and strengthening international cooperation.


The Secretary of the Nuclear Energy Commission of Mongolia G.Manlaijav made a statement on Mongolia’s position at the General Debate on September 27.


Professional trainings and seminars in the field of nuclear and radiation control, safety, protection and nuclear technologies, as well as a Scientific Forum entitled ‘Rays of Hope: Cancer Care for All’ to help countries to increase access to cancer care were organized on the sidelines of the General Conference.
