Delegation from EBRD Board Directors visits ‘SUU’ JSC

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On September 30, a delegation from the EBRD’s Board of
Directors got acquainted with operations of the ‘SUU’ JSC, oldest dairy
processing company in Mongolia.
During their five-day stay in Mongolia, the delegation from the EBRD`s Board of Directors that included representatives of 30 member countries, met with Mongolia’s high-level officials and held several meetings with large organizations and companies to discuss reforms and priorities of the country`s economy.
At the meeting with the authorities of ‘SUU’ JSC, the two
sides discussed the current state of consumption of milk and dairy products among
Mongolians, the opportunities to increase the consumption of strategic foods,
and challenges, and shared information about the projects being implemented by
the company.
Moreover, they touched upon on important issues such as the accountable business and sustainable development, green production, as well as a program for milk suppliers’ cooperative.
‘SUU’ JSC received loans from EBRD in 2019 and 2021 for the
expansion of its milk processing capacities, logistics, warehouse, and milk collection
points.
The company’s authorities reported that within the framework
of bilateral cooperation, it has received international consultancy services on
brand strategy and product development and has been implementing
recommendations in line with the company’s approach.
