Judoka L. Turuunaa wins silver medal at IBSA Judo World Championships

L. Turuunaa won a silver medal in the category of women’s J1 class -70 kg at
the IBSA Judo World Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Over 200 athletes from 41 countries will be fighting for the
world title in eight categories for each class (J1 and J2) at the IBSA Judo
World Championship in the Capital City of Azerbaijan, Baku. Nine judo athletes
from Mongolia are competing in the Championship headed by the National Team
coach B. Narantuya.
Judoka L.Turuunaa became the first Mongolian athlete to win a medal at the IBSA Judo World Championship which is held every 4 years. At age 10, she suddenly lost her sight due to eye pressure, but she fought this problem for many years and devoted her heart to judo. She went to Azerbaijan for this competition at her own expense, fulfilled her dream, and became a silver medalist judoka of the World Championship.
