Central Museum of Selenge Aimag Renovated

The National Museum of Mongolia in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Culture and Arts Authority renovated the Central Museum of Selenge aimag, in which the rich collection of the modern history of Mongolia is kept.
As part of the renovation, the museum’s display layout, vitrines, lighting, etc. have been brought to modern museum standards.
The Central Museum of Selenge aimag, formerly
the Museum of the Revolution, is located in Altanbulag soum. The sculpture “The
First News of MONTSAME” is displayed at the museum along with the exhibits related to General D. Sukhbaatar. MONTSAME News Agency published its first-ever news with
the headline “Revolt of Mongolians” and the label “MONTA reports” on March 18,
1921, from Altanbulag soum.
