“Enjoy Daurian Rhododendron” Event in Khuvsgul

aimag has declared this year the “Year to Visit Khuvsgul.” The aimag, which is
famous for its beautiful wild nature and crystal clear Khuvsgul Lake, has
planned numerous events throughout the year. One of them is the “Enjoy Daurian
Rhododendron” event, which is scheduled for the beginning of May in
Erdenebulgan soum, Khuvsgul aimag.
Daurian
Rhododendron is an evergreen shrub common in Asia and Altai Mountains and burst
forth with beautiful blooms in the early spring, especially in April and May.
The shrub is not only beautiful but also has healing powers. The medicinal
properties of rhododendron have been known for a long time. It is deemed to
have healing properties to treat heat-related headaches as well as sore throats
and nausea. In the nervous system, rhododendron's detoxifying properties
support relaxation and centering.
