Ulaanbaatar, July 11, 2023 /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian National Naadam Festival has officially opened by the Grand Opening Ceremony at the Central Stadium. The President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh opened the Naadam Festival with his opening remarks and paid respect to the Great White Banners.

Dear Mongolian brothers and sisters all over the world,

Distinguished guests who are staying in our beautiful country, the hearth of the Empire,

Dear festival goers,

On this beautiful day of summer, when the blue sky is granting rains and the earth is giving yields, the Mongol people's great celebration - "National Naadam Festival" is ready to start solemnly.

The one and only festival in the world- Mongol Naadam is the great celebration of triple of father heaven, mother earth, and precious human being, the treasured heritage of mankind, the memory of the Mongol State, the symbol of the unity and independence of the Mongolian nation, and the guarantee of our spiritual immunity and existence as Mongols.

On the occasion of the 2232th Anniversary of establishment of the First Statehood in Mongolia, 817th Anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, 112^th Anniversary of Restoration of National Independence and Freedom, and 102nd Anniversary of People’s Revolution of Mongolia, I extend my greetings to the festival-goers who are celebrating the Naadam, Great National Festival with pride of their heritage, ancestors, and history, and to our dear guests who are staying in our beautiful country,” began the President his remarks.

“Our ancestors, the blessed Mongols, have an admirable history of establishing their state in the heart of Central Asia two thousand years ago, raising their glory to the human world. The admirable history and heroic merits of the ancient Hunnu Dynasty were succeeded by Great  Chinggis Khaan, who established the Great Mongol Empire, establishing peace in the West and East,  developing great peace of Mongol. The great deeds that left the name of Mongols in the history of mankind are still burning in the hearth of Mongolia, preserved in the heart of every Mongol person. The National Liberation Movement of 1911, the People's Revolution of 1921, and the Democratic Reforms of the 1990s became the foundation for our Mongolians' big achievements in the 20th century and the development in the new century. "

Today, the reputation and position of our country has strengthened on the international stage, and Mongolia has become recognized as a "symbol of peace" in the world.

Last year, on the occasion of the 860th anniversary of the birth of the Great Chinggis Khaan, the President of Mongolia issued a decree to honor the portray of Great Chinggis Khaan, venerate his glory and wisdom, and opened the "Chinggis Khaan" Museum of Kings and Nobles to the general public. As a continuation of this event, the President issued a decree to re-establish  Kharkhorum city, the capital of Great Mongol Empire, and the sacred hearth of ancient kingdoms, restoring the great history of the establishment of the city of Kharkhorum by the decree of Chinggis Khaan 800 years ago in 1220 in the Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape.

On this day of the holiday, I am pleased to inform the people that the State Great Khural and the Government are striving to realize the great historical development of the Mongolian people. May the ancient capital city of Kharkhorum, the hearth of Great Mongol Empire rise again as a symbol of the unity and power of the Mongolian people, and the harbinger of good times, and may the Mongol State flourish forever. This is the desire of Mongolians for hundreds of years, " President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh underscored in his remarks.
