Mongolia and Vietnam to Advance Defense Cooperation

Ulaanbaatar, November 1, 2023 /MONTSAME. President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa received Minister of National Defense of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Phan Van Giang on October 26, 2023.
At the outset of the Meeting, President Khurelsukh wished Phan Van Giang success in Phan Van Giang's Official Visit to Mongolia, which was paid on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries at the invitation of Mongolian Minister of Defense Saikhanbayar Gursed. President Khurelsukh expressed his confidence that the Visit would contribute to developing friendly relations between Mongolia and Vietnam and strengthening bilateral cooperation in security and defense.
Vietnamese Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang conveyed the warm greetings of Socialist Republic of Vietnam President Vo Van Thuong to the President of Mongolia and expressed his gratitude to President Khurelsukh for taking the time to meet with him. Vietnamese Defense Minister informed President Khurelsukh that he had exchanged views on defense cooperation with Mongolian Defense Minister Saikhanbayar during his Visit and expressed his commitment to active cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides expressed eagerness to foster Mongolia-Vietnam cooperation in ensuring global and regional peace and security and to enhance ties between the defense sectors of the two countries.
