Ulaanbaatar, February 21, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Oyun-Erdene Senge, an actress of the world-famous Cirque du Soleil and Mongolian contortionist, broke the Guinness record by performing the most contortion roll push-ups in 30 seconds, beating the previous record of 21 with her total of 24.

Actress Oyun-Erdene Senge has been practicing contortion since she was 6 years old and has been working in Cirque du Soleil for more than 20 years. Meanwhile, the acrobat of Cirque du Soleil, Lucie Colebeck, broke the Guinness record by performing the most back handsprings on a trampoline in 30 seconds.

Guinness World Records Adjudicator Megan Bruce said, " I knew the cast of Cirque du Soleil were good, but seeing these record attempts in person and up close was something else. I was amazed by the level of flexibility and upper body strength shown by Oyun-Erdene and Lucie’s attempt was lightning fast as she managed to beat the record with at least five seconds to spare. Congratulations to both performers for breaking such physically demanding record titles.”

Contortionist Oyun-Erdene has participated in four shows with Cirque du Soleil, and she is currently performing in the "Alegria - In a New Light" show at the renowned Royal Albert Hall Theater in London. The show features a new stage composition and runs from January 11 to March 3, 2024.
