Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Receives Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK

Ulaanbaatar, March 11, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh received Pak Myong Ho, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, who is on an Official Visit to Mongolia, on March 10, 2024. The Foreign Minister of Mongolia expressed her confidence that the Visit will make an important contribution to strengthening and developing the traditionally friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Vice-Minister Pak Myong Ho expressed his appreciation for his first visit to Mongolia, noting the solid foundation laid by previous leaders of state and government of the two countries. The Foreign Minister of the DPRK conveyed the sincere greetings of DPRK’s Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui to Foreign Minister Battsetseg.
Minister Battsetseg expressed her gratitude to DPRK’s Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui for attaching great importance to and delivering a greeting at the Female Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held last year in Ulaanbaatar. On this note, the Foreign Minister of Mongolia cordially invited DPRK’s representatives to attend the 9th International Conference on Northeast Asian Security “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue” as well as the World Women’s Forum to be held this year.
During the Meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their eagerness to continue the steady development of the traditionally friendly relationship and cooperation, and underscored that last year, the sides solemnly celebrated the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, as well as the 35th anniversary of the visit by DPRK’s Former President Kim Il Sung to Mongolia.
Additionally, the two sides agreed to take practical measures in intensifying and enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, culture, sports, agriculture, health, and humanitarian aid and exchanging visits at all levels.
