Ulaanbaatar, June 26, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Government of Mongolia and Google are cooperating to train 1000 Mongolian digital skilled professionals.

As part of the Grow with Google Mongolia Project, 350 people have been trained in professional skills in project management, data analysis, UX design, cyber security, digital marketing, online trade, and information technology.

This Project is considered accessible, and socially impactful, as people aged 18-65 with diverse backgrounds were involved in the training. Among the participants seeking professional skills, there was a peacekeeper serving in peacekeeping operation in Sudan, a herder from Dornod aimag, who came to Ulaanbaatar weekly for training, and mothers who are interested in online trading, while raising their children and looking for teams and partners.

The training was conducted online and classroom, based on Google’s human resources training know-how and led by teachers leading in their fields, covering subjects, including skills required at the workplace, and psychological and aptitude training. Organizers noted that the second stage of the Project, which is to connect 100 participants who are seeking jobs with employers and an internship program if required will run throughout this summer.

Depending on their skills and speed, the trainees chose classes such as project management, data analysis, UX design, cyber security, online marketing, online trade, and information technology. The participants involved in the project acquired professional digital skills with Google’s human resources training methodology reported the Ministry of Digital Development and Communication of Mongolia.
