Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival to Be Held in October

Ulaanbaatar, August 30, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The 16th Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival (UBIFF), initiated by the Department of Culture and Arts of Ulaanbaatar City and held under the auspices of the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, is set to take place on October 16-22, 2024. The Festival will be co-organized by the Arts Council of Mongolia, the Mongolian National Film Council (MNFC), and Nomadia Pictures.


The UBIFF aims at advancing the art of cinema in Mongolia, introducing Mongolian audiences to films recognized at prestigious international festivals, and strengthening international cooperation among filmmakers. The Festival will feature several key sections, including the opening film, a competition for Mongolian films, international documentary and feature film screenings, youth and children's screenings, and training.


The opening film, making its world premiere at the Festival, will be displayed to international film festival organizers, directors, and producers, with full screening rights available for public screenings.
