State Visit to Mongolia by President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Concludes
PoliticsUlaanbaatar, October 2, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The State Visit by President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam to Mongolia, at the invitation of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, concluded on October 1, 2024.
The Honored Guest was seen off at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport by officials headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh.
During the State Visit, the two Heads of State held tête-à-tête and official talks and discussed further developing cooperation between the two countries and within international and regional platforms.
Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam have elevated the bilateral relations to “Comprehensive Partnership,” the first Southeast Asian country that Mongolia established this level of relations and signed documents on bilateral relations and cooperation.
The two countries reaffirmed their commitment to develop and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in all sectors.
During the State Visit, Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve and Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai paid courtesy calls on President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and discussed expanding and developing the cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides jointly organized the “Cultural Day” in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, during which, President To Lam met with Mongolian enterprises and business representatives.
This State Visit was the return visit by President of Vietnam to President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa’s State Visit to Vietnam in 2023, and was special by being held in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
