Mongolian Scholars Take Part in the 21st International Scientific Conference “Youth in Science 2024”

Ulaanbaatar, November 8, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Young scientists and researchers from Mongolia took part in the 21st International Scientific Conference “Youth in Science 2024” held in the Republic of Belarus from October 29 to 31, 2024.

 

Over 600 young scientists and researchers from nine countries attended the conference, which had 23 sub-sessions on topics such as agriculture, biology, medicine, human sciences, physical technology, physical mathematics, chemistry, and geology.

 

Representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, and experts from research centers, and institutes, including Plant Protection, Medical Sciences, Veterinary, Geography and Geo-Ecology, Biology, Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Physics and Technology, Mathematics and Digital Technology, and the Botanic Garden participated in the conference. Representatives from Mongolia presented the findings of their research during the various sessions.

 

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Belarus Bayarsaikhan Batsukh met with the attendees and discussed bilateral cooperation while highlighting Belarus’ successes in the economic, scientific, and technological sectors. The young researchers also visited the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, where they got acquainted with ongoing research at the Institute of Information Technology, the Plant Protection Institute, the Experimental Botanic Institute, and the Food Research Institute. During the tours, the participants explored projects and grant opportunities available for young researchers, as well as introduced the activities of the Mongolian Young Scientists’ Association.

 

The young Mongolian scholars discussed their research with Belarusian colleagues, exchanging views on opportunities for joint research projects, and agreed to participate in a bilateral Science and Technology Project Competition.

 

The scholars of Mongolia and Belarus also agreed to hold a joint conference of young researchers and scholars in Mongolia in 2025.
