Mongolia Participates in 69th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women

Ulaanbaatar, March 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The 69th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) was held in New York, USA. A delegation from Mongolia, led by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Protection of Mongolia L. Munkhzul participated in the Session along with representatives from government and non-governmental organizations.
The Session reviewed the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BPfA) over the past 30 years and adopted a political declaration for future strategies. More than 12,000 representatives from over 180 countries attended the Session, discussing topics such as eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls, ensuring gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights, technological advancements, combating online sexual exploitation, political participation and leadership, economic involvement, and support for entrepreneurship.
During the Session, Mongolian representatives also delivered speeches at a high-level roundtable discussion organized by the Coalition on Violence Against Women (COVAW).
