Competing in Group A, the team traveled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where they competed against "NS Matrix Deers" at MABA Stadium and won with a score of 98–86. This achievement marks a historic milestone in Mongolian basketball, as "Bishrelt Metal" has become the first Mongolian professional basketball team to win an away game in a major international league.
In this match, Byron Wesley led all scorers with 34 points, while Devon Scott and Enkhbayasgalan Amarbayasgalan contributed 24 and 21 points, respectively. Team Captain Uuganbayar Tumenbayar was unable to participate due to a nasal injury sustained during training, while Munkhchudur Nasanbat was sidelined due to a foot injury. On March 27, 2025, “Bishrel Metal" is expected to return to their homeland in which they will face “APES" in the semifinal stage of the domestic league playoffs the following day. Meanwhile, the team’s second Asian Champions League group-stage match is set for May 5, 2025. For this match, “Bishrelt Metal” will travel to Jakarta, Indonesia, to compete against "Pelita Jaya," the reigning champions of the Indonesian Basketball League.
Despite five players from "NS Matrix Deers" scoring in double digits, their efforts were insufficient to overcome "Bishrelt Metal." "NS Matrix Deers" is a two-time champion of the Malaysian Major Basketball League, sponsored by Matrix Group, one of Malaysia’s leading corporations.
