Prime Minister resolves urgent matters in Gobi-Altai aimag

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh wrapped up his rural visit in Gobi-Altai aimag on May 9, accompanied by his cabinet members.
After getting familiar with livelihood of a herding family in Delger soum of Gobi-Altai aimag, the PM also launched an action ‘Veterinary preventive measures’ in the aimag and handed over medical vehicles and agricultural equipment.
He also held meetings with the aimag’s authority and locals to report about government actions. According to the requests submitted by locals, the decisions were made on the following issues:
1. The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry will fund MNT500 million on improvement of Mongol yak breed in the aimag.
2. The Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry was assigned to establish wells in six soums of the aimag.
3. A new kindergarten will be built in Delger soum and required financing worth MNT1.5 billion will be included in next year’s state budget.
4. Three medical vehicles worth of over MNT90 in total million were distributed to the aimag.
5. The Minister of Health was obliged to put hospitals of Tseel and Darvi soums into operation in 2018.
6. Road constructions of Gobi-Altai aimag will be completed by October, 2019.
7. It was decided to construct a thermal power plant in the aimag.
8. A decision was made to construct Taishir Hydro Power Plant and complete it in 2019.
9. Housing issue for 1788 households was resolved.
10. Three soums will be connected to energy. By 2019, they will be connected with fiber optic cable.
11. A new kindergarten for 320 children will be established in Solongo residential town and the required financing will be included in the state budget 2019.
12. A new kindergarten will be established in Delger soum.
13. It was decided to deploy a military unit of construction in Gobi-Altai aimag. Corresponding ministers and officials were given relevant assignments.
14. Hospital will be built in Altai soum and required financing will be included in the 2019 state budget.
15. 960-children school will be provided with required facilities.
