Permanent Representative attends Landlocked Developing Countries’ Foreign Ministers meeting

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolia’s Permanent Representative
to the United Nations V. Enkhbold attended the Annual Ministerial Meeting of
Landlocked Developing Countries’ Foreign Ministers on September 23.
At the meeting, the foreign ministers discussed the implementation
of Vienna
Programme of Action, results, challenges, ways to intensify its performance
and joint efforts of the countries as well as exchanged views on overcoming the
COVID-19 pandemic and mitigating its unprecedented impacts.
During the meeting, Mr.Enkhbold briefed on the national
contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
and the Vienna Programme of Action amid the COVID-19, and introduced the
Government's policies and activities.
Emphasizing the role of the Ulaanbaatar-based International Think
Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries, he called for UN member states,
development partners and stakeholders to support this organization's activities.
At the end, Foreign Ministers of the LLDCs approved the
Ministerial Declaration and the draft roadmap for strengthening the
implementation of the program, reaffirming their commitment to the
implementation of the Vienna Programme of Action.
