Yuhan Group Joins ‘Billions of Trees’ National Movement

Ulaanbaatar, September 9, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Within the framework of the ‘Billions of Trees’ National Movement initiated by President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation was signed on September 8 in Seoul city by President, CEO & Executive Director of the Republic of Korea’s ‘Yuhan’ Group Wuk-Jae Cho, Executive Director of the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) Chongho Park, Director General of the National Forest Agency of Mongolia Oyunsanaa Byambasuren, and Executive Director of the ‘Billions of Trees’ National Movement NGO P. Boldbaatar.


Within the framework of this Memorandum of Understanding, it is planned to restore the forest destroyed by fire in the territory of Batsumber soum of Tuv aimag.


The subsidiary company of the ‘Yuhan’ Group, ‘Yuhan-Kimberly,’ has experience in restoring the ‘Tujin Nars’ forest of Selenge aimag, and in September 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea, Sukhbold Sukhee, conveyed to the ‘Yuhan’ Group, one of the major companies of the Republic of Korea with over 100 years of history in pharmaceutical and medicinal product production, the proposal of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to cooperate in the ‘Billion Trees’ National Movement.
