“Two nations – One victory” photo exhibition on Khalkhiin Gol Battles opens
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Khalkhiin Gol Battles, a photo exhibition “Two nations – One victory” opened at the Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery in Ulaanbaatar on September 2. The exhibition is being co-organized by MONTSAME Mongolian National News Agency and Sputnik news agency and radio broadcaster of the Russian news agency Rossiya Segodnya.
Monument for Hero Sh.Gongor unveiled in Khentii aimag

On August 28, an aerial show by the aerobatic demonstration team of the 234th Guards Aviation Regiment of the Russian Air Force was held at the Khui Doloon Khudag in Ulaanbaata. The performance was part of many events planned for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Khalkhiin Gol Battle, which took place from May 11 to September 16, 1939.

Mongolian-Russian joint military tactical training “Selenge-2019” started at the training field of the 327th military unit of the military armed forces in Choibalsan city, Dornod aimag. 'Negotations' by Konstantin Mikhailovich
Renowned Russian writer, poet, journalist Konstantin Mikhailovich Simonov (1915-1979), who took part in the Khalkhin Gol Battle as a correspondent of the Heroic Red Army newspaper, was one of the eyewitnesses of the battle. As a war correspondent, he reported the Mongolia-Russia-China negotiations on prisoner swap held mid-September, 1939 and wrote this note.
