Judokas grab medals in Jeju Grand Prix
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Judokas of the national selected team are competing in the Jeju Grand Prix tournament, which kicked off Thursday in South Korea.
On the first day of the competitions, a 2014 World champion G.Boldbaatar won a silver medal in the men’s -60kg contest after beating his rivals from Japan, South Korea, Brazil and Azerbaijan. In the finals, he was defeated by Kim Won Jin, a judoka of the host country.
On the next day of the tournament, Ts.Tserennadmid IMS captured a bronze in the women’s 63kg bout. In the bronze medal match, she beat a Russian Yekaterina Valkova.
By the first day of the tournament, South Korea has two gold medals; Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia and Japan--one gold medal each.
