Rule amended on issuing scholarships
Society | EducationUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting on Monday backed an alteration made in the rule on granting scholarships to vocational training students.
This rule was amended for the first time since its adoption by a governmental resolution in 2007.
By the amended rule, the scholarships will be given to students depending on their participation and activeness in class, and will be directly transferred to credit cards. The rule also reflects the age limitation, in other words, the scholarships are available for students below 24 years.
Nationwide, 42 thousand students are studying in 81 vocational training centers, majoring in 200 professions, 49 centers are state-run, 32 are private.
