Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Head of the parliamentary Standing committee on petitions O.Baasankhuu gave a report to the media on 2015 works.

The committee discussed 31 issues at its 13 meetings and heard five reports from Ministers. It also  issued 15 resolutions and delivered to the cabinet directions on ensuring laws’ implementation and abolishing law breaches.

The Standing committee also received 1,335 requests from 48,399 people, 223 or 16.7% of them were concerning public interests, 1,112 or 82.3%--personal matters. Requests of 14,209 people were classified 12 times, they were discussed by the Standing committee. Afterwards, the committee gave responses to 840 requests or 69.3%; 372 requests or 30.6 of them are under consideration. A total of 1,258 requests have been completely resolved, he said.

Last year, he went on, the committee issued 15 resolutions and notes of seven meetings. At requests from Arkhangai, Bayankhongor and Khovd aimags addressed to this Standing committee, examinations were carried out in mineral exploration and exploitation, some of the committee members worked in Selenge aimag’s Altanbulag and Dornogobi aimag’s Zamyn-Uud border checkpoints in order to witness ongoing works and to check realization of the law on border checkpoint. he said.

Baasankhuu MP also gave details about discussions, trainings, propaganda and other measures organized by his committee.
