Number of births and infant mortality decline in 2015
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Last year, 80 thous.434 mothers gave a birth to 80,875 babies.
Against 2014, a number of the mothers who delivered children decreased by 794 or 1.0% women, a number of children went down by 840 or 1.0%.
In December of 2015, six thous.704 mothers delivered 6,738 children (live births), which was a decrease by 23 mothers or 0.3% and by 37 children or 0.5% against November.
In 2015, infant mortality reached 1,234, showing a decline by 17 children or 1.4%, and mortality under-five reached 1,476, declining 29 children or 1.9% against 2014.
The infant mortality reached 130 in December of 2015, increasing 35 children or 36.8%; the mortality under-five reached 154, going up 39 children or 33.9% against November.
