President Ts.Elbegdorj posts of offshore leaks
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Offshore leaks made public by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists /ICIJ/ verified 49 Mongolian citizens have offshore accounts.
The president of Mongolia Mr Ts.Elbegdorj has expressed his position towards offshore leaks.
He wrote in his FB post “Mongolia should take responsible and open approach to offshore leaks records and surrounding issues, particularly the public voices shall be heard, pertinent legislations shall be tightened up and responsibilities have to be raised. Also he said that public servant should disclose their income registration and property location to make them available for the state and public control. Policy makers and law enforcement structures have to take initiatives to make certain the legislation implementation and reveal every atempts of tax evasion, money laundering and hiding illegal incomes.
