Women boxers to compete in World Championships
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Female boxers of the national team of Mongolia have left for Kazakhstan to participate in the 2016 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships to be held on May 19-27 in Astana.
This year’s World Championships will be attended by 326 boxers from 73 countries, and Mongolia is to be represented by L.Altantsetseg (48 kg), M.Nandintsetseg (51 kg), T.Bolortuul (54 kg), M.Gundegmaa (57 kg), O.Suvd-Erdene (60 kg), N.Bayantsetseg (65 kg) and E.Erdenetuya (69 kg). The first four places in the divisions of 51, 60 and 75 kg will be awarded with Olympic quotas.
The official team of Mongolia includes Ts.Batnasan, the secretary-general of the Mongolian Olympic Boxing Federation (MOBF), B.Enkhtaivan, chief coach of the women’s boxing team; D.Bandi, a State Honored Coach and People’s Teacher; and O.Tserenjav, a physician.
