Iran wants to buy Mongolian two-humped camels

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/  State Secretary of the Mongolian Ministry of Food and Agriculture N.Ariunbold met Friday Mr Ebrahim Rahimpour, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Asia-Pacific Affairs.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on an official agreement with Iran on veterinary sanitary conditions for exporting Mongolian meat and meat products to that country.

The parties also focused on joint actions towards the reduction of desertification, protection of pastures and agricultural areas from desertification by planting greeneries, and discussed possibilities of studying Iranian experience in this area.

Informing that the population of camels is declining in Iran, Mr. Ibrahim Rahimpur said Iran is interested in buying Mongolian two-humped (Bactrian) camels for commercial purposes.
