Nat’l Council for ASEM Summit considers some expenses
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its meeting on Monday, the national council for the 11th ASEM Summit reviewed draft budgets for the upcoming ASEM Summit, its sub-meetings and for the “Nomads’ Naadam” festival.
A preliminary budget for the ASEM Summit has included accommodation expenses for ASEM delegates who will reside in the “ASEM Villa” town and expenses for souvenirs. The budget for the “Nomads’ Naadam” festival covers four packages for cultural events; infrastructure; security and safety; and meals.
The Prime Minister and chairman of the national council Ch.Saikhanbileg charged the Finance Ministry to seek possibilities to cut the expenses. Tasks were given to the relevant officials to install extra electric stations in order to prevent malfunction in electric supply.
The council also approved creating additional parking lots in the “ASEM Villa” town dedicated to leaders of ASEM delegations.
