Payment balance and current accounts in statistics
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first quarter of this year, the payment balance had a deficit of USD 37.8 million which declined by USD 233.3 million against the previous year.
Current account of the payment balance had a deficit of USD 11.1 million in the first quarter of this year. It was mainly due to deficit of USD 272.4 million in balance of service sector and USD 193.9 million in revenue account.
In the first quarter of 2016, the revenue from service sector accounted for USD 111.8 million, while the expenditure was USD 384.2 million, which shows a deficit of USD 272.4 million in the balance indicating an increase in the deficit by USD 21.7 million or 8.7% against the previous year.
In the period, the current transferring had a profit of USD 45.0 million, which increased by USD 30.7 million or 3.1 times against the previous year. Money transferring of employees reached USD 27.4 million in the first quarter of 2016, which increased by USD 24.9 million against the previous year.
