Industrial production index goes up
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Industrial production index (seasonally adjusted) was 139.5 (2010=100) in May 2016, which increased by 13.0% against the previous month, and by 16.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the mining and quarrying sectors, the mining of products such as molybdenum with concentrate, iron ore, crude oil, copper with concentrate and gold increased by 1.9% to 2.0 times.
In the manufacturing sector, the production of soft drinks, pure water, copper, alcoholic beverage, spirit, milk, kind of sausage, wooden building door and windows, railway sleeper, printing plastic cards and electric wire increased by 1.9 percent to 4.2 times against the previous year.
In the mining and quarrying sectors, the mining of coal, zinc concentrate, fluor spar concentrate, broken or crashed stone decreased by 5.4-52.6%, while in the manufacturing sector, the production of major commodities such as bakery products, beer, bread, buuz and dumpling, cement, sawn wood, articles of iron concrete, windows and doors, metal steel, metal foundries, steel casting also declined by 0.7-96.9%.
