Disabled children’s development center to be built with Chinese aid

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian Prime Minister J.Erdenebat and his Chinese colleague Premier of State Council of PRC Li Keqiang took part in the official inauguration ceremony for the “Development Center for Children with Disabilities” construction project on July 14.

In his speech, Mongolian PM J.Erdenebat emphasized that the Mongolian government attaches a great importance to protection of the rights of children, who make up one third of the country’s population. The 2015 statistics show that 10% of all persons with disabilities are children, he said.

Government of Mongolia has requested the Chinese government to build the development center with non-refundable aid, informed the gathered. Chinese side accepted the request, and settled the construction of the center in comprehensive way by granting USD 30 million governmental aid, incorporating all required equipment and educated staff. For this, the Premier expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government of China and Mr Li Keqiang.
