Productions in industrial spheres go up

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Productions of total industrial sector reached MNT 4,924.8 billion in first seven months of this year, increasing by MNT 81.6 billion or 1.7% against the previous year. It was mainly affected by increases in the mining and exploration industries which reached MNT 3,361.7 billion, increasing by MNT 183.3 billion or 5.8% against the previous year.

The industrial production index (seasonally adjusted) was 148.6 (2010=100) in July 2016, which increased by 18.6% compared to the same period of previous year, by 13.3% against end of the year, by 1.4% against June 2016.

In the mining and quarrying sectors the mining of products such as crude oil, coal, molybdenum with concentrate, copper concentrate with 35% and gold increased by 3.2-67.5% and in the manufacturing sector the production of products such as copper--by 99%, beer, bakery products, buuz and dumpling, soft drinks, milk, alcoholic beverage, kind of sausage, railway sleeper, printing plastic cards--by 0.6-58.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

But in the mining and quarrying sectors the mining of products such as iron ore, zincum concentrate, fluor spar concentrate, broken or crashed stone decreased by 0.1-41.7%, and in the manufacturing sector production of major commodities such as bread, pure water, wooden building door and windows, cigarettes, lime, sawn wood, cement, articles of iron concrete, medical tablets, vacuum windows and doors, metal steel, metal foundries, steel casting decreased by 5.3-94.5%.

Cost of industrial products reached MNT 5,679.2 billion in first seven months of 2016, and 63.0% of them were sold at the foreign markets.
