Cizitens' khural elections have 12.9 percent voter turnout
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The polling for the elections to citizens' representatives Khurals (local council) of soums and city districts commenced this morning at 7.00 a.m. According to the press statement by the Capital City Election Committee made at 12.30, the voter turnout reached 12.9 percent.
The next briefing will be made at 17.30. A total of 658 candidates are running from six political parties and a coalition in 152 khoroos (smallest administrative electoral unit).
The Capital City Election Committee appealed the city residents to take active part in the voting.
