Mongolian Univ. Sports Federation receives Award at 9th AUSF Assembly
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian University Sports Federation, along with the university sports federations of China, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong and Malaysia, was given the Best Involvement Award of the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF), on November 20. Secretary General of the MUSF D.Jargalsaikhan received the award.
Xiamen city of China hosted the 9th AUSF Assembly on November 20 and 21. This year’s assembly brought together some 150 delegates from over 30 countries.
In 2010-2016, the MUSF sent 238 athletes and team members to the continental university championships, from which Mongolian student athletes grabbed eight gold, ten silver and 16 bronze medals. The MUSF also has succeeded in hosting at home the 2012 Women’s Volleyball Championships and 2016 Men’s Basketball Championships, and the Meeting of AUSF Executive Board of 2015.
