PM addresses national convention of conservationists

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Under the auspices of Prime Minister of Mongolia, the second National Convention of Wildlife Conservation Communities took place on April 21, Friday, gathering about 800 individuals from the capital city and provinces.

Prime Minister J.Erdenebat gave an opening speech, and appreciated the dedicated efforts of conservationists in preservation of natural environment on behalf of the Government of Mongolia.  
He underlined the important role of wildlife conservation communities in realizing major objectives set by the 2016-2020 action plan of the Cabinet on conservation of wildlife and restoration and proper use of natural resources.

Prime Minister also spoke about the government’s appreciation of the establishment of National Association of Conservation Communities in 2014 following necessary improvement in relevant legislation. “Especially for a country like Mongolia which has a vast territory, joined involvement of locals in wildlife conservation is crucial”, he remarked.
“Proper use and restoration of natural resources will be the biggest investment we make into the future. We have a responsibility to leave behind our country in one piece”, Prime Minister J. Erdenebat noted. He also reiterated that combination of preserved wildlife and responsible mining is a main principle for the Cabinet.
