Foreign Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil receives UK delegates

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 26, Ts.Munkh-Orgil, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia received delegates from the United Kingdom headed by Simon McDonald, Head of the Diplomat Service and Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK, who is in Mongolia attending a roundtable meeting between Mongolia and the United Kingdom.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged their views on the present situation of bilateral relations and cooperation, measures to be implemented in the future and multilateral cooperation and other pressing regional issues of mutual concern.
Then, FM Ts.Munkh-Orgil expressed his gratitude to the Chevening UK Government Scholarship program for providing Mongolian students with a chance to study in the UK and requested the UK side to increase the number of students to study in the UK.
Mr. Simon McDonald pointed out that the United Kingdom first established diplomatic relations with Mongolia from the European countries and thanked for Mongolia for actively participating in the international peacekeeping operations. In Mongolia, UK-invested companies are usually engaged in the fields of mining, energy and information and communication technology fields. In conclusion, the two sides agreed to cooperate towards increasing bilateral trade and investment.
