Mongolian heritage day held at World Bank headquarters

Mongolian Embassy in USA in collaboration with the World Bank organized ‘Mongolian Heritage Day’ cultural event on May 16-17 at the WB Headquarters in Washington, D.C.,
The event, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and USA, was attended by representatives from US State Department, US Department of Defense, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Mongolians residing in the US as well as foreigners who are interested in Mongolia.
Мr B.Altangerel, Ambassador of Mongolia to the USA and Jason Allford, WB Executive Director representing Mongolia and some other countries made speeches at the event.
During the ‘Mongolian heritage day', Mongolian national and classic art performances were presented, Mongolian national food was served to guests and Mongolian artist D.Tsolmon displayed his art exhibition ‘The Nomad Spirit’.
Mongolia became the 155th member country of the World Bank in February 1991 and in 26 years of cooperation, Mongolia and WB together implemented over 140 programs and projects worth USD 800 million in infrastructure, education and health sectors.
