Mongolian delegates visit Czech Republic

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A delegation of Mongolia led by Ts.Batbayar, Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism and J.Saule, Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry paid a working visit to the Czech Republic. Some 10 meat and meat product manufacturers were included in the delegation.

Mongolian delegates met with Marian Jurecka, Czech Minister of Agriculture during an exhibition of livestock farming held in Brno city of Czech. The sides talked about potentials to widen the two countries' relations and cooperation in the agricultural sector. At the meeting, Czech Minister Marian Jurecka expressed his readiness to give support for implementing projects and programs in this area and introducing new technologies in Mongolia.

Also, Deputy Minister Ts.Batbayar held official meetings with Patrik Mlynar, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Czech about cooperation for ongoing ‘Development of forest genetic resources in forest areas of Mongolia’ project and forest management with Miloslav Stasek, Czech Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs on development cooperation and with Miroslav Bobek, Director of Prague Zoo on relocating of Mongolian takhi (wild horse) and protection of saiga antelope and wild camel in Mongolia. The sides determined goals of bilateral cooperation and agreed to carry out several measures.

Moreover, Deputy Minister J.Saule held meetings with the authorities of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague on issues of a project on registering and earmarking livestock animals and with officials of Veterinary hospital of Czech on artificial insemination.

Afterwards, Mongolian delegates got acquainted with activities of AGROFERT, Natural and Mauting companies operating in the agricultural industry and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation.
