Sand Festival 2017 to take place in Gobi-Altai aimag in July

Gobi-Altai /MONTSAME/ Sand Festival-2017 cultural event will take place on July 24-25 at the Ereen Lake tourist camp in Gobi-Altai aimag, Mongolia.
During the festival, various cultural events, an exhibition of 'Made in Mongolia' products products for tourists, and sport competitions, sand volleyball, relay race to mountain top, sandboarding, sand sumo wrestling, polo match, anklebone shooting, children’s wrestling, and colt racing will be held.
The Ereen Lake is a beautiful land located in Jargalan soum of Gobi-Altai aimag. The sand festival is held every year in order to develop sand sports based on the great sand sitting on the aimag territory and the Ereen Lake and to create a new brand of a tourism destination and product for foreign and domestic tourists, travelers and holidaymakers.
