'Khureltogoot - 2017' international conference holds sub-meeting on medical science

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A sub-meeting of the ‘Khureltogoot-2017’ international scientific conference on medical science took place at the Khureltogoot Astronomical Observatory Center on October 13.

Co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS), the Mongolian Foundation for Science and Technology (MFST), the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS), the Mongolian Young Scientists’ Association (MYSA) and the Mongolian Young Researcher’s Association of Medicine, the meeting discussed 12 reports, which were chosen from 55 reports delivered by 226 researchers from 43 institutions of Mongolia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia and Taiwan.

The scientific conference annually invites scientists, whose works forwarded some new innovations, as guest speakers. As for this year, B.Galindev, PhD of medical science, presented his report entitled ‘Fundamentals on laboratory animals and the usage of C57BL/6J mouse’, while medical science doctors B.Baatarsuren and N.Bayalagmaa introduced their innovations.

After conclusion of the scientific conference, the first-place prize went to the research work entitled ‘Genomic comparative studies in disorders caused by many factors’ by G.Chimedlhamsuren. It was followed by the research by B.Bayantushig on pollution of micro dust particles in houses. The special prize went to the research work themed ‘Determining the insulin resistance by a ratio between triglycerides in blood plasma and high-density lipoprotein’ by G.Narkhajid.

The MYSA submitted a request to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science to grant a cash prize of MNT 4 Million to the first place holder. A prize named after the MYSA was awarded to the special prize holder.
In addition, N.Bayarmaa, General Coordinator of the MYSA, gave a certificate to the first place and second place holders to attend a scientific conference themed ‘Developmental corridors and consumption of sciences’ to be held on November 23-25 in Sapporo, Japan.
