Foreign Minister meets US Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar received Jennifer Zimdahl Galt, US Ambassador to Mongolia, on October 23. They exchanged views on the bilateral relations and cooperation.
The Foreign Minister highlighted that Mongolia and the USA share common values of developing the democracy and cherishing human rights, and noted the bilateral political relations have reached a high volume. He underlined the importance of lifting up the economic cooperation through the political ties.
In turn, the Ambassador congratulated D.Tsogtbaatar on becoming the Minister of Foreign Affairs and remarked that the counties have been activating many important sectors of the cooperation in scope of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations.
The Ambassador said she has been focusing attention to boosting the Mongolia-US relations, making the economic cooperation as a priority, and added the countries plan to establish the second Compact Agreement with the Millennium Challenge Corporation as the transparency contract had entered into force.
The parties concurred to enrich the ‘Responsible Travel’ information campaign with new contents and to collaborate in promoting it to the public.
