Building new opera theater discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Member of the Parliament and Head of the Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science Yo.Baatarbileg met South Korean Director Bae Gyeong Hwan on December 23.
At the meeting, the sides discussed organizing cultural events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Republic of Korea to be marked in 2020. They sides also exchanged views on staging Chinggis Khaan opera in Seoul in the scope of the anniversary.
Moreover, Yo.Baatarbileg put forward a request to render support to build a new opera theater within intergovernmental cooperation of the two countries. In turn, Director Bae Gyeon Hwan said he will convey the request to the Ministry of Culture and launch negotiations.
