Ski athletes to receive scholarship of USD1800

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian National ski team athletes will recieve the Olympic Solidarity athlete scholarship for PyeongChang 2018 by International Olympic Federation (IOF). D.Zagdsuren, President of Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC) presented the scholarship to athletes B.Achbadrakh, Ch.Otgontsetseg and A.Enhktuul on January 4.
According to an agreement between the Physical Education and Sports Development Center, MNOC and IOF, scholarship of USD 1800 will be granted to the athletes quarterly, USD 1400 to coaches and USD 3200 for training expenses.
The scholarship was announced by the IOF with an aim to back athletes who are practising an individual sport included on the Winter Olympic programme, have potential to qualify for the Olympic Winter Games and claim medals further.
Currently, ski running athletes B.Achbadrakh and Ch.Otgontsetseg have the first technical level to qualify for PyeongChang Olympic Games which will be held on February 9-25.
Names of the ski running athletes for PyeongChang 2018 will stand out by January 22.
