Consumers' rights in e-commerce to be protected

Ulaanbaatar /MONTAME/  The Authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection (AFCCP) gave a report on its activities realized in 2017 and introduced their 2018 plan on January 8.

AFCCP Chair  B.Lkhagva reported that the organization discussed 20 issues and adopted 19 resolutions when they held four meetings in 2017.

Last year,  the Authority organized several events to prevent from any offences in the frame of the government policy to revive Mongolian economy and support its entities. Furthermore, AFCCP established memorandums of mutual understanding with the same organizations from Japan, Russia and Indonesia and renewed memorandum with China. 

As of today, it is working collaboratively with organizations of eight countries in the frame of the memorandums.
 
The Authority announced 2018 as ‘Year of Protecting Consumers’ Rights in E-Commerce'. Moreover the authority will organize a national forum ‘Competition Policy to Support Economic Development’ and national symposium ‘Protecting Consumers’ Rights’.
