Friendship medal presented to Egyptian agency

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ In accordance with a decree of the President of Mongolia, the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) was awarded with a ‘Friendship’ Medal on occasion of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The medal was presented by D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, to Ambassador Ahmed Shaheen, Secretary General of the EAPD, in Cairo, reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia on February 6.  
 
During the ceremony, D.Davaasuren emphasized, “Trainings organized by the EAPD have been intellectual contributions of Egyptian government to strengthen Mongolia’s public service and play an important role to deepen mutual understanding and friendship between citizens and strengthen bilateral relations. The Government of Mongolia highly recognizes EAPD’s contribution.”
 
In turn, Ambassador Ahmed Shaheen expressed a sincere gratitude on behalf of the Egyptian government.
 
Mongolia has been cooperating with the EAPD since 1997 and some 1300 public servants of Mongolia attended a hundreds of mid and short-term training programs, organized by the EAPD.
 
Following the ceremony, the sides exchanged views on further bilateral cooperation, sending Mongolian public servants to get practice in relevant sectors so that can contribute to development of Mongolia-Egypt trade and economic cooperation, expanding trainings and improving efficiency of trainings.     
 
Moreover, an invitation for Secretary General of the EAPD to visit Mongolia was received by the Secretary General Ahmed Shaheen with gratitude.
