President Kh.Battulga visits Erdenet Science and Technology Park

Orkhon /MONTSAME/ President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga got acquainted with activity of welding electrode factory and ‘Human Ecological Center’ at the ‘Erdenet’ Science and Technology Park, state owned enterprise on February 11.
The Park is manufacturing welding electrode since October, 2017 and it has a capacity to produce 10 tons of electrode a day and currently 4-5 people are working in the factory.
Mongolia is 100 percent import reliant for its welding electrode. The President thanked to the national factory that will fully satisfy the domestic demand and he was heard of pressing issues and market researches of the factory.
As of today, the park put requests to Metallurgic factory of Darkhan-Uul province and Erdenet Mining Corporation to provide electrode. The electrode producing in Erdenet Science and Technology Park has completely satisfied technical requirements of American National Standard Institute and Resistance Welding Manufacturers Association. In other words, it is high quality electrode for use of arc welding method, said Ph.D.G.Enkhbayar, Director of the park.

Governor of the province D.Batlut emphasized that it would be possibile to fully satisfy domestic need if the factory's operation is broadened further.
Human ecological center's operation targets to detect heavy metals and non-metal chemical elements that are influencing negatively to environment and health of citizens who are living in mining area.
